Civil Safety

The main task of civil security specialists  there is an organization for the protection of critical infrastructure  and territories, ensuring readiness for effective measures to protect the population in the event of emergencies of man-made and natural nature.

Specialists from the Civil  security
• are fluent in the legislative and regulatory framework of Ukraine on the protection of critical infrastructure and territories from emergencies of man-made and natural nature; 
• know the methods of protection and investigation of an emergency;

machinery and equipment used to protect critical infrastructure and during rescue operations,

standard emergency response plans (localization and elimination of emergencies and accidents), basics of labor legislation, rules and regulations of labor protection, safety, industrial sanitation, fire protection and environmental protection; 
• organize emergency rescue operations;

Graduates are able to competently and responsibly perform: 
• functions of management of technogenic and natural safety of the population, territories and objects of economic activity, 
• to introduce technologies aimed at reducing the risks of occurrence and mitigation of the consequences of emergencies and their elimination, intensification of innovation processes.
 

Graduates of the department can work in the following positions:

- specialist in the organization of property and personal security;

- enterprise security service specialist;

In the system of the Civil Service of Ukraine for Emergencies:

- leading specialist of the chemical and radiation control sector;

- Leading specialist of the Civil Defense Department;

- Leading specialist of the evacuation sector for emergencies at district state administrations (executive authorities).

  At enterprises, institutions, organizations and executive bodies:

- Chief of Staff of the civil defense of the enterprise, institution, organization, etc .;

- responsible for civil protection (fire and man-made safety) of enterprises, organizations, institutions, etc .;

- employee of the expert-technical center for civil protection and technogenic safety;
